What does a yod mean in a natal chart?
Recently I found I have Venus as the apex in the 7th house, Cancer quincunx neptune in the 1st, Aquarius and Pluto in the 11th, Sag.
“What does a yod mean in a natal chart?” is a question I answered on Quora.
Note, a yod (or Finger of God) is a triangular configuration involving three or more planets. The planet at the apex (that the finger points to) will be 150 degrees from the other two planets, that are in turn 60 degrees from each other. This is all within a 2 degree tolerance (or orb) at each corner.
Well, I have no idea what else is going on in your birth-chart, or whether the yod you describe is accurate in terms of its orbs; so I’m simply going to describe this as a theme (in isolation) that you are working with.
I can say from the bat that whatever else is going on, this configuration cannot be ignored.
This yod will tend to heighten feelings/sensitivity towards one’s surroundings and relationships. It calls on you to refine what and who you are attracted towards, what you resonate with. Whether you are male or female it calls on you to lift your feminine values to finer levels, possibly to have links with others on the Other Side – certainly towards the development/expression of unconditional love.
This is creative, musical, holistic. It sounds like you are already interested or involved in astrology and you could do a lot worse than getting further involved with such study.
There are potential pitfalls with this too, and you’ll need your wits about you. Avoid any quick fixes, promises, fantasies or escapes, into what is perceived as the ideal. If it doesn’t move like a duck and quack like a duck don’t get involved with it. Be alert.
Certainly look into meditation to help bring about inner harmony, and looking after your body with good and healthy food and exercise.
Karmically you could be on a life journey seeking to make a breakthrough in your understanding of how things relate.
