Taurus Star Sign
If you were born between April 20th and May 20th you were born when the Sun was passing through the sign of Taurus.
This sign, as I’m sure you’ll know, is represented by the Bull. It’s a very earthy image of physical presence, strength and power…
So, if you are a typical Taurean you will tend to be down-to-earth in nature. You are inclined to be resourceful, pragmatic, industrious and conservative in your ways; as well as constructive, reliable, patient, sensual and careful.
You are willing to work hard for the things that make you happy. You’ll also prefer to keep things simple, uncomplicated – calling “a spade a spade.”
You will tend to be thrifty and have a good business sense. You’ll enjoy all the pleasures of the senses, along with all the creature comforts such as the physical world provides – and that could include having (or collecting) beautiful things around you, along with having money, rich food, enjoying music and the arts in general.
Considering your relationships
As a typical Taurean you are a sensual person and peace-loving. You’ll enjoy and need physical contact – a lot of hugs and physical closeness. Most importantly you’ll be seeking peace and stability in your relationships, and where your life partner is concerned you will be looking to fulfil conventional outcomes – such as marriage, home and family.
As a Taurean you will be slow to change, steady, faithful and reliable. You’ll seek to find the same in your relationships. But note you are prone to being overly possessive and somewhat controlling too. Be aware of this tendency within you…
Taking a look at your likely vocational interests
As a typical Taurean you will need to build something, and not feel hurried while doing it. This is so whether this involves an actual building, making something, or say education, a business, or moving up a career ladder.
A job for life would likely be very attractive to you as a typical Taurean. Earthy vocations requiring steady, constructive application, without too much risk, are likely to be of interest too.
Also of interest are vocations where a position of trust and responsibility is required, or where practical and routine work plays a big part.
Creative work, linked with music, singing, the arts in general could be a strong pull on you. As indeed may exploratory or caring work linked to nature, plants or animals, also grab your interest and commitment.
And what about your challenges?
Being a Taurean you need to consider that you are prone to being obstinate, overly-careful, resisting change, slow, even sluggish and possessive. You can like your comfort zone a little too much…
If not allowing yourself to be open to the “new,” you are inclined to become the proverbial “stick in the mud” – getting stuck in the routine of plodding and ploughing your own furrow; most possibly in a rut, in other words.
This can lose you your friends, and even partners too… who may move on without you.
Being preoccupied with your own personal concerns and security, you can also acquire the label of being selfish. You may need to learn something along the lines of being more generous of yourself towards others.

A reminder…
I hope you have found the above comments helpful. But, here’s a reminder that your star sign can only ever provide a useful but very incomplete overview of what makes you tick.
To better understand yourself, through astrology, you need to get hold of your birth-chart.
Your birth-chart (or natal-chart), set up for the time, date and place of your birth, will include all the major planets, zodiac signs and astrological houses, to provide you with a huge amount of insight into your life’s potential.
You will find websites that offer this service – some are for free too. I assure you this will be an adventure – certainly a bigger adventure than just relying on what sign the Sun was in when you were born.
And note, this is why when reading through your star sign I use the term “typical.” It is because you will only be typical of your sign if other factors, such as the position of your planets, support it.
I wish you well with your adventure…
