Scorpio Star Sign
If you were born between October 23rd and November 21st, you were born when the Sun was passing through the sign of Scorpio.
As you will know, Scorpio is represented by the scorpion. That said, you may not know the sign is also associated with the eagle. Both are predators. One is a creepy crawly with a sting in its tail. The other aspires to great heights with razor sharp vision for going after its prey. These images should give you a clue as to the potential and extremes behind your star sign.
As a typical Scorpio you are likely to be strong-willed, emotionally intense, introspective, passionate, assertive, reserved, private and secretive.
“Still waters run deep” is an apt description for Scorpio – still and quiet on the outside, while often intense within.
The Scorpio mind tends to be analytical and critical. It seeks in one way or another to get to the bottom of things – to get to what it sees as the “truth.”
Considering your relationships
As a typical Scorpio you will be inclined to be reserved and cautious in getting to know others. What you are really seeking in your relationships is trust, combined with honesty and authenticity.
And where these conditions apply, you can be a friend others can truly rely on. Scorpios tend to make deep commitments.
In intimate relationships you’ll be a passionate and sexy partner, bringing a lot of potential tension and excitement to the relationship.
Bear in mind, you are likely to be governed by the intensity of your feelings. By nature, you can be up there, loving, understanding and reliable or alternatively down there, moody, defensive and difficult to deal with – and looking to pick a fight.
Your need for security will tend to place demands on your relationships, and can also make you vulnerable to jealousy, creating conflict and/or being hurt.
Let others know where you stand. With your Scorpio nature you are inclined to resist revealing what you are truly feeling and thinking.
Be guarded against any inclination towards being possessive and controlling in your relationships – deadly.
Taking a look at your likely vocational interests
An element of risk and danger is not uncommon for the Scorpio. They will often take a military-like approach to matters – and such areas of work requiring a cool head and precision in delivery could well be of interest.
As a typical Scorpio you are probably willing to take a lead role, particularly in situations that draw on your passion, resourcefulness and dedication, something to get your claws into. It is not much of a leap to say that you would be in your element in activities that involve digging down and revealing something that was hidden from view.
The Scorpio theme, after all, encapsulates the courage of the soldier, the covert activities of the spy, the spiritual discipline of the priest, the cold self-control of the surgeon, the probing of the psychoanalyst, the courage to deal with hidden forces of the paranormal investigator, or the detective with a nose for, say, organised crime.
And what about your challenges?
As a typical Scorpio, you may need to raise your game…
There is a duality of light and darkness operating within your Scorpio psyche. Arguably we all have this potential, but in Scorpio it can be more pronounced…
As a typical Scorpio, you need to keep up your spirits and avoid getting into the doldrums, getting pessimistic about life. When hurt, the Scorpio mind is capable of becoming cold, unforgiving, sometimes self-destructive and inclined to bear resentment and vendettas, that can be hard to resolve within.
Look for peace and the control of your mind…
The dualities of life, such as, I versus others, honesty versus dishonesty, good versus evil, give versus take, and life versus death, may provide endless interest and internal dialogue for you to resolve. The quest for the holy grail may indeed be calling you…

A reminder…
I hope you have found the above comments helpful. But, here’s a reminder that your star sign can only ever provide a useful but very incomplete overview of what makes you tick.
To better understand yourself, through astrology, you need to get hold of your birth-chart.
Your birth-chart (or natal-chart), set up for the time, date and place of your birth, will include all the major planets, zodiac signs and astrological houses, to provide you with a huge amount of insight into your life’s potential.
You will find websites that offer this service – some are for free too. I assure you this will be an adventure – certainly a bigger adventure than just relying on what sign the Sun was in when you were born.
And note, this is why when reading through your star sign I use the term “typical.” It is because you will only be typical of your sign if other factors, such as the position of your planets, support it.
I wish you well with your adventure…
