Leo Star Sign
If you were born between July 23rd and August 22nd you were born when the Sun was passing through the sign of Leo.
This sign is represented by the lion. We can all imagine what the lion represents – such words as power, authority, leader, individuality.
As a typical Leo you’ll be a child hero at heart. You’ll exude self-confidence and a natural magnetism that attracts people to you. You’ll carry yourself with dignity and give off a warm and sunny disposition.
You are inclined to be self-assured, optimistic, out-going, sociable and companionable. As a typical Leo, you’ll naturally be inclined to take on the role of an authority, a leader and organiser, a person who can make decisions. You’ll be protective of others and generous by nature.
You can be the life and soul of any party. You’ll enjoy relaxing, having fun, taking up challenges, taking up sports, being on an adventure, or in a drama.
You’ll like to be noticed, and the centre of attention, or centre stage in matters, and most probably like to have an audience.
Considering your relationships
The typical Leo is warm, big hearted, charismatic, generous, passionate and demonstrative.
In your relationships you’ll like to bring sunshine into the lives of those around you, your friends and those you love. You’ll enjoy making people feel special – often through nice or surprise gestures.
But that said, you’ll need to be aware that you are even more likely to enjoy having attention for yourself – you’ll need to be made to feel special too. This can mean that you are also inclined to overlook, or misread, the real needs of others, especially those you love – put it in your diary to remember special dates of loved ones.
As a typical Leo you’ll want to take the lead in your relationships. You will probably be at your happiest in friendships or partnerships that have an element of rivalry.
Taking a look at your likely vocational interests
As a Leo you’ll need some form of competition where you can measure yourself up against other people or, say, a standard to aspire to in your work…
Leos are born leaders and quite capable of managing the concerns of others. Your sense of drama, and creative play, will tend to place you well for team-building, marketing, presenting, managing, teaching and acting.
As a Leo, you’ll be creative, in the broadest sense of the word, and motivated by the urge to make your mark on the world, to gain a measure of personal recognition.
And what about your challenges?
You’ll need to keep your eye on a few things here: You have a tendency to make life a game, and this can mean that you may not be so inclined to take serious matters that seriously. Likewise, your tendency to look for the bigger picture, can also mean you can overlook the “small print” in life, that can trip you up.
Without maturity and adjustment, it is also said that the typical Leo can develop an inclination to become a bit arrogant, self-conceited, somewhat pompous, condescending and/or very susceptible to flattery.
From another perspective, we all need love in our lives. The Leo child needs a lot of love and attention. Without it, it can be difficult for them to shine. Should a Leo lose their confidence, it can take a lot of love and support to help them to recover – there’s nothing as sad as an unhappy or wounded lion. Should this apply to you, you must get some love to heal your wounds…

A reminder…
I hope you have found the above comments helpful. But, here’s a reminder that your star sign can only ever provide a useful but very incomplete overview of what makes you tick.
To better understand yourself, through astrology, you need to get hold of your birth-chart.
Your birth-chart (or natal-chart), set up for the time, date and place of your birth, will include all the major planets, zodiac signs and astrological houses, to provide you with a huge amount of insight into your life’s potential.
You will find websites that offer this service – some are for free too. I assure you this will be an adventure – certainly a bigger adventure than just relying on what sign the Sun was in when you were born.
And note, this is why when reading through your star sign I use the term “typical.” It is because you will only be typical of your sign if other factors, such as the position of your planets, support it.
I wish you well with your adventure…
