Following your direct message request to me, and telling me about what you are going through right now; here's something to think on. I'm not doing a chart reading here but picking up on an obvious point or two. This is from a Western astrological perspective. I would have thought you'd have enough to go on from the Vedic astrologers. I hope this doesn't create more conflict for you - in your understanding. From a Western perspective, you have Sagittarius rising, with Jupiter conjunct the ascendant. This is a strongly positive and optimistic theme. You'll tend to project a person who sees the glass as half-full - rather than half-empty. I suspect you can normally draw into your life what you want and be fine. But notice (in the illustration) you have a pretty much loaded 2nd house with Uranus and Neptune. Keynotes of Uranus are drama and change. Keynotes of Neptune are illusion and transformation. The 2nd house is all about money, possessions, security. I'm sure you have learnt to live with the potential peaks and troughs of this arrangement. If you do then you must also believe that those who have “passed over” – Death to this world, Life to the next – are living in the Spirit World which we know as Heaven.

Have you ever wondered about their feelings towards those of us left here on Earth – longing for the time when we shall be united again? Would it surprise you to know that these loved ones are still close to us, though beyond our vision.

They may wish to, and are able to, communicate with us while we are still on this Plane. You may wonder how they can do this. I can tell you how from recent experience of my own.

There are on this Earth gifted psychical people who act as spiritual messengers, known as mediums, who can contact our dear ones for us. They cannot do this unless we in our turn are willing to co-operate and do our part to get in touch with them, in their present state.

Can you imagine what untold joy and comfort it would give you to be in touch with them again. Naturally they too wish for this happiness. Would you deny this to them?

Attending my first Spiritualist Church meeting

I lost my husband three years ago. Since then I have felt sure that we shall sometime meet again.

Often I thought seriously about attending a Spiritualist Church meeting – where a medium would be present – if only to discover just how such a service is conducted. Only recently, with the persuasion of a friend who had already attended meetings, did I pluck up sufficient courage to go to one myself.

I confess I did so with a certain amount of apprehension and trepidation on my part. I did not know what to expect.

Vaguely I expected the medium to go into a trance while in communication with the spirits that had passed over. But not at all!

She just walked to the floor of the church, where the meeting was being held and spoke quite naturally to each person for whom she received a message, perhaps five or six in all. I still felt nervous however and was glad she did not call on me at this time.

After this I went to several Spiritual Meetings held at various places. It was not until the fifth or sixth such attendance that I was given the message I hoped for, from dear ones.

This has given me so much happiness and courage.

We do not know how difficult it may be for the spirits to get through to contact the mediums for us. It is thought it is not easy for them, but surely this is all the more reason for us to do our utmost to co-operate with them.

It is so easy for us to attend a service and give them a chance to prove to us that they are still interested in our affairs; that they still love us, and with greater understanding perhaps wish to help us.

Do not be disappointed if you are not given a message at your first meeting – though you should be prepared to the receive one at any time.

At first you will feel happy to sit and listen to other messages being delivered, but when the time comes and it is your time for one, speak up and confirm that the communication is truly for you.

I do hope anyone who attends these services will not feel disappointed.

I would say some mediums are more gifted than others. Not all the self-advertised ones are the best. However if you go without any strange misconceived ideas you will be able to discriminate and I am convinced you will gain much blessed happiness and peace from your experience.

You will be certain of a welcome wherever you attend a service.
