Annie Locke is fast becoming one of the most listen-able pianists around today. She has a rare talent as a painter of tone and creator of moods and on this latest single she emphasises that perfectly…
This single has both of the elements she states in the title, her performance seems to flow beautifully between them both, and that little interplay between major and minor is a delight to listen to over and over.
Beautifully played by Locke, full of colour, mystery and intrigue, also it has to be added that the performance was a real combination of tenderness and purpose, all nicely interwoven with a totally addictive musical narrative…
