Why are zodiac signs different?
Why are zodiac signs different? This is a question I answered on Quora.
I’m going to presume you mean different from each other, rather than different in the ways the signs can be presented.
This is like asking why are there only 12 signs.
There are twelve signs – and can only be twelve because of their matrix.
The signs are divided by polarity into positive and negative – think of electricity rather than good or bad judgements. They are also divided by element of Fire, Earth, Air and Water. See the illustration for how this works:
And starting at Aries, running anti-clockwise, they also express their mode of change – whether cardinal, fixed or mutable.
If you put these together you will discover this is what makes each sign different and unique from the next – no two have the same combination.
In their order they also tell a cyclic story – but we’ll leave that for another time.
I hope this helps.
