Gemini Star Sign

Gemini Star Sign

Gemini Signature | 400x72If you were born between May 21st and June 20th you were born when the Sun was passing through the sign of Gemini.

This sign is represented by the Twins. The word “Gemini” means “twins.” In Greek mythology Gemini was given to the twins, Castor and Pollux. Symbolically, it is often suggested that Geminis tend to have a dual or twin personality – as if they are two people.

What I’ve noticed in Geminis is that they are often telepathic – which is also said of twins.

Gemini is ruled by Mercury. What is most important for the typical Gemini is the “needing to find out,” the “needing to know,” and the “needing to share.” Gemini is ever curious, collecting information and communicating it, in one form or another.

As a typical Gemini you will tend to be mentally quick, have enthusiasm for learning, be versatile, enjoy variety, be inquisitive, informative, talkative and changeable – and nimble in your movement.

You’ll love to share ideas and chat about the latest thing you are doing or interested in. You’ll make a good go-between – being good at retrieving information and sharing it between two or more parties. You’ll have an obliging manner and usually a good sense of humour.

Considering your relationships

Being a typical Gemini, you will be friendly, witty and will tend to get on well with people. You can certainly be fun to be with.

That said you can also be light-hearted and flirtatious – a bit of a flutter-by – in your associations.

You are inclined to be unemotional and cool in your affections – not very physically demonstrative. For you it is less about how you feel and more about how you think.

With that in mind, it can be difficult for you, the Gemini, to form attachments, to be involved in a close and deepening relationship. Unless other components indicate stability, what you may need is something, or preferably someone, to help anchor you, and help keep you focused.

Taking a look at your likely vocational interests

As a typical Gemini you will be talented at many forms of communication – such as writing, public speaking and being creative. Geminis can usually tell a good story.

Teaching, journalism, the media (local news especially), languages, the sciences and travel may also be very attractive to Geminis, and could be the basis for your career.

Geminis are also known to be dexterous and are likely to be attracted to light manual work or commerce involving much use of the hands – using computers for an online business would be an obvious choice, or alternatively, being involved in some kind of regular driving work – such as a delivery service – might be another.

And what about your challenges?

As a typical Gemini you will tend to have your fingers in many pies – anything that takes your interest.

That said, you can also tend to cut corners, skip over the surface of things (be light of touch), get easily distracted, be inclined to spread yourself too thinly and become preoccupied with superficial levels, than deep-diving into anything.

Also an overly busy mind can lead to stress, a tendency to worry and be anxious.

You’ll need to find a way to rein in your busy mind and learn to focus your attention on what truly matters to you. Meditation may help and be worth exploring for you.

A reminder…

I hope you have found the above comments helpful. But, here’s a reminder that your star sign can only ever provide a useful but very incomplete overview of what makes you tick.

To better understand yourself, through astrology, you need to get hold of your birth-chart.

Your birth-chart (or natal-chart), set up for the time, date and place of your birth, will include all the major planets, zodiac signs and astrological houses, to provide you with a huge amount of insight into your life’s potential.

You will find websites that offer this service – some are for free too. I assure you this will be an adventure – certainly a bigger adventure than just relying on what sign the Sun was in when you were born.

And note, this is why when reading through your star sign I use the term “typical.” It is because you will only be typical of your sign if other factors, such as the position of your planets, support it.

I wish you well with your adventure…
