What will be your excuses when you face Jesus at the throne of God after your death?
What will be your excuses when you face Jesus at the throne of God after your death? A question I answered on Quora from A Lim.
Assumptions, assumptions! I’m wondering what your excuses will be.
Look, if you really believe “you will face Jesus at the throne of God after your death” then that is your belief, and it will happen.
I don’t believe that and because I don’t believe it, trust me, it won’t happen to me. It will happen to you – because you believe it to be true.
And you will probably be the one looking for excuses. Excuses as to why you didn’t look deeper into your own existence – instead buying into what others have told you to believe in. But that is your right.
Consider this
We are all on the path that Jesus took. We are all sons and daughters of God, or whatever name you wish to give to the source. We are all spiritual beings, souls that have probably spent a number of lives on this planet finding our way forward. What will be your excuses when you face Jesus
And that, by the way, goes for all of life, in my belief.
I have no fear of the afterlife. Heaven, hell or purgatory are all a state of mind or soul, and, however dark, all can be forgiven and healed – unlike the “eternal fires of hell” of some religions I could name. Some religions have been better at peddling “fear” rather than love – and that is where you are clearly coming from by the way you framed your question.
I think it is time we all grew up and abandoned such primitive beliefs and ways.
