Are ghosts people from our past who are dead?
Are ghosts people from our past who are dead? My answer to this Quora question follows – what’s yours? Are ghosts people from our past who are dead?
We use the term “ghosts” to cover a host of paranormal activity.
Ghosts could be “people from our past who are dead” but more likely if you meet a ghost there will be no direct link with you personally.
If you mean our “collective” past then Yes, some will be.
I tend to split ghosts into three categories. There are probably more:
1. The playback of a sad or tragic event
In this instance it is like a video playing, and there is no possibility of interaction with what you might be seeing or hearing.
Â
2. Souls that have become earthbound – taking all kinds of scary and shadowy forms, as well as human form.
Mostly these are negative, immature, primitive, throwing its toys out of the pram, and potentially nasty – fear-mongers taking every advantage of our limited senses. Beings who have endeavoured to disconnect from Love but who would disappear entirely without it.
Â
3. Souls who like to revisit a place they were fond of in physical life.
Or they could be retracing some of their steps in search of something they are trying to complete on or solve.
I hope this helps.
I wrote more on these matters in my book Life and Death: Making Sense of It.
